Pep Guardiola Sends Warning To Haaland Ahead Of Leeds Clash // ucdailyreport

Prior to his visit to his birthplace, Erling Haaland has been cautioned by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola not to anticipate any flattery from Leeds United.

When Manchester City plays Leeds United at Elland Road on Wednesday night, Haaland will garner more more attention than normal.

Haaland was born in the West Yorkshire city in 2000, during his father Alf-three-year Inge's stint as a defender with the Whites. He has scored 24 goals in 19 games for Guardiola's team.

The Norwegian international grew up rooting for both Leeds and Man City, where Alf-Inge later played.

“It’ll not be a friendly game. They want to win, we want to win. Their fans will push their team,” Guardiola said at his pre-match press conference ahead of Man City’s tie with Leeds United.

“Hopefully, Erling cannot be contaminated with the nice words from the opponent. I think he’ll be ready and I am pretty sure Jesse would prefer to play with our good players on the pitch.”
